Titanex cookware comes pre-seasoned and ready to use. Simply rinse with warm water, dry thoroughly, and lightly coat with cooking oil before your first cook.

What is the best way to clean cast iron cookware?

Clean with warm water and a soft brush or sponge while the pan is still slightly warm. Avoid harsh detergents. Dry completely and apply a thin layer of oil to maintain the seasoning.

Is Tramontina cast iron cookware dishwasher safe?

We recommend hand washing only. Dishwashers can strip the seasoning and lead to rust, reducing the natural non-stick performance.

Why does my cookware release black residue?

A small amount of black residue is normal with new cast iron and comes from the seasoning layer. It is non-toxic and reduces with regular use and seasoning.

How can I reduce black residue from my cookware?

Wipe the surface with a little oil and a paper towel before cooking, and re-season the pan periodically. The residue will diminish as the seasoning matures.
